Monmouth County, NJ - Remember that little tune that most moms would sing that would motivate children to clean up a mess in the living room or bedroom? It was a little jingle that went "Clean up time, Clean uptime, Everybody everywhere! "Clean up time, Clean up time! Everybody do your share." In the chaos of oppressive situations, the simple act of cleaning and organizing your home or bedroom can be deeply healing. When you put things in order, you're not just arranging objects—you're reclaiming a sense of control and peace in your life. Each item placed thoughtfully, each surface cleared, becomes a small victory over the turmoil outside. This process can lift heavy emotional burdens, offering a fresh start and a renewed sense of hope.
For those facing difficult circumstances, creating order in your personal space is more than just tidying up—it's an act of self-care and empowerment. It reminds you that, even when the world feels overwhelming, you have the power to shape your environment and nurture your well-being. By making your surroundings a sanctuary, you give yourself room to breathe, reflect, and heal, one step at a time.

Just as cleaning and organizing our homes brings healing and clarity, America must confront and clean up the deep-rooted racism and systematic discrimination embedded in its political system. The fear-mongering of Black citizens, the theft of reparations, and the denial of life-saving resources—like housing, healthcare, and equal access to quality jobs—are stains on our nation's conscience, especially as outlined in Trump's 2025 Plan. This plan, inspired by the Heritage Foundation's Project 2025 and the legacy of the Christian Coalition, threatens to block essential regulations on food and medicine and perpetuate the mistreatment and long-term imprisonment of Black citizens for petty offenses. These injustices must be recognized, addressed, and discarded, just as we would with what no longer serves us in our personal spaces.

It is the responsibility of every American citizen to take part in this vital cleanup. Criticisms of President Trump's policy proposals for a second term highlight real dangers: the expansion of presidential power, the curtailing of civil liberties, and the weakening of democratic institutions. These policies risk deepening the wounds of racism and inequality, harming the economy, environment, education, and healthcare for all Black children. We must not allow the echoes of the past—rooted in movements that have long resisted progress—to dictate our future. Instead, let us unite in the spirit of justice and empowerment, determined to create a nation where every citizen is valued, protected, and free from oppression. The work of cleaning up is not just necessary—it is our shared American duty.
