THE ECHO APRIL 2023 BLACK BEAUTY LASHAWNA EDMOND OF “DUNG AH YAAD” ONLINE BOUTIQUE!

As you know, the relaunched Echo seeks to provide a platform that shows off our NJ ladies' intellect, talent, and natural Black beauty. This month's Monmouth County Beauty is Mrs. Shawna Edmond. Shawna holds a Master's Degree in Education and has worked in higher education for almost a decade. In her spare time, Shawna is a personal stylist and an online boutique owner. Her passion is being creative, and she deeply loves personal style and fashion.

Shawna’s favorite quote is, “If I can do it once, I can do it again” She is very resilient and works hard to achieve all her goals. She enjoys traveling and looks forward to learning about new cultures. Her business Dung Ah Yaad aims to “conserve Jamaican history, traditions, customs, and lifestyle and showcase cultural pride. Her brand appeals to those with experiences growing up/living in Jamaica. It also appeals to people who appreciate and have been immersed in the LOUD and PROUD culture." Plus those who appreciate supporting authentic Black-owned businesses. Please check out Lashawna's online boutique at https://dungahyaad.com/ So NJ let's "small up yuhself" for Mrs. Shawna the Belle Edmond! Side note: "Small up yuhself" in the Caribbean means "make room!" ^_^
