About Today Share With Mr. David Davis
Mephibosheth was Jonathan's son and King Saul's grandson in the Old Testament. When Mephibosheth was five years old, his father, Jonathan, and his grandfather Saul were both killed in battle, and Mephibosheth became crippled in both feet as a result of his nurse dropping him in her haste to flee. Many years later, King David, Saul's enemy, inquired if there was anyone left of Saul's house to whom he could show kindness for Jonathan's sake. Mephibosheth was found living in the home of a man named Machir, and he was brought before David. David showed great kindness to Mephibosheth, restoring him to his ancestral lands and inviting him to eat at the king's table for the rest of his life. The story of Mephibosheth is often interpreted as a demonstration of the importance of showing kindness and mercy, even to one's enemies or those whom one's predecessors may have wronged. It also highlights the power of loyalty and enduring friendship, as David's love for Jonathan extended to his son Mephibosheth even after many years had passed.

Reflections
Lord, In the quiet of this morning, I'm reflecting on the need for wisdom, just like James talks about. Life's full of twists and turns, and sometimes, it's hard to know the best way forward. That's why I'm turning to You, trusting in Your promise to give guidance when I ask. Please help me today with the decisions I face. I'm looking for that clear, calm wisdom You offer – the kind that helps me see beyond the moment and understand what really matters. Let Your wisdom shape my choices, my words, and my actions. Thank you for being a constant source of guidance and strength. It's reassuring to know I can always come to You for the wisdom I need. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Positive Attitude
Mephibosheth Jehoshaphat, in 2 Chronicles 20, the king sought the Lord for help when the massive armies came closing upon them... Our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.” It takes a positive attitude to seek God to steer us back; we have to dig deep into our souls and spirit to push out those negative circumstances. " Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."- Isaiah 43:19
Oops!
"Are we experiencing the 'much more' He promised? If we are not, it is because we have cluttered our minds with confusing thoughts and worries. We have allowed 'the cares of this world' to enter in (Matthew 13:22) while forgetting the 'much more' of our heavenly Father. By receiving His Spirit, recognizing and relying on Him, and obeying Him as He brings us the truth of His Word, life will become amazingly simple. Jesus asks us to consider that 'if God so clothes the grass of the field,' how 'much more' will He clothe you?," if you keep your relationship right with Him?" --Oswald Chamber
Peace In The Midst Of A Storm
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4. This verse showed me what Peace really means; we will all go through the valley of death. True Peace comes when we know in our hearts and mine that " Jesus." is our rescue and, during our hard times, our Peace. For me personally, I was in the hospital. I had stopped breathing in my sleep. The valley of death was closing in on me, at that moment if you can't physically walk out of the hospital on your own will...things can go bad very fast. All I can feel is the presence of " Jesus," having no strength of my own. Peace is during the valley; we can go through the hurt, the pain, the grief that overwhelms us.
Accidents
Beloved, your troubles are not unforeseen accidents. No matter what you are going through, no matter how deeply you hurt, God is right on target and right on time. You may think the devil came in and interrupted God's plan for your life, saying, "Let me at him." But no, that is not the case. It does not matter if you did something stupid or careless. If you have repented, the Lord can harness everything meant for evil and turn it around for good. Don't focus on your past mistakes—get your eyes off the monsters. God promised to restore to you all the years the canker-worm has eaten. Encourage yourself with these words and let them become your life and hope: "My God can do anything. He has not forgotten me. No one can change His plans. No matter how bad things look, He has everything under control!"
Perspective
Bible teacher Oswald Chambers emphasized the importance of praying for someone else. He said that “intercession is putting yourself in God’s place; it is having His mind and perspective.” It’s praying for others in light of what we know about God and His love for us. With fasting and praying, we realize our living comes from being in the valley. When we come to the point of needing God's supernatural power. Brokenness draws us to that reality every time, knowing our own and anyone's limitations. We have to get it through our heads that without the presence of God, it's not going to work.
Think, beloved, how the Lord is still crowning us with lovingkindness and tender mercies.“ I know you are not strong, but then you do not have that acute pain you used to have. I know that you are growing old, but that only means that you are getting so much nearer to heaven. I know your friends are fewer than they used to be, but then those who are left are true friends. So you see that you are still crowned with lovingkindness and tender mercies..”
Be Clean
MARK 1:40-45, (NIV) “JESUS COULD NO LONGER ENTER A TOWN OPENLY BUT STAYED OUTSIDE IN LONELY PLACES. YET THE PEOPLE STILL CAME TO HIM FROM EVERYWHERE.” I have been experiencing a whole new dimension of loneliness due to this pandemic. Social distancing, wearing masks, being away from loved ones for months. The Lord showed me something profound in Mark 1:40-45: A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, “If you are willing, you can make me clean.” Jesus was indignant. He reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately, the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed. Jesus sent him away at once with a strong warning: “See that you don’t tell this to anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing as a testimony to them.” Instead, he went out and began to talk freely, spreading the news. As a result, Jesus could no longer enter a town openly but stayed outside in lonely places. Yet the people still came to him from everywhere.
The Truth
The truth is that life teaches us many things that sometimes we are not able to understand or explain. It gets to the point where you always question... Why to me? However, in one way or another, there are hundreds of life lessons that will come to us all, sooner or later, for better or for worse, despite the fact that we may or may not make use of them. Not everything is achieved at the instant you desire, because time is like a river, you can never touch its waters twice, because the water that has already passed will never pass again. There is always an inner and higher strength in your heart that doesn't judge you but guides and enlightens you not to lose hope! There, is when you learn to discern, to be resilient in every moment, every person and every thing, because in this life everything has a purpose, time and place!. So, you have to sacrifice a lot of things. Not everything is loss but gain. Everything is accomplished in God's time and just like that, in due time your blessings will come!. May God make the Impossible Possible! Don't let our fears extinguish that Faith and inner Strength we carry in our hearts! ❤
A Purpose In Pain
The apostle Paul gives us a new way to look at the painful seasons in our lives. He tells you that there is a purpose in your pain. And when not viewed correctly, you risk wasting your pain. Paul answers one of the many “why” questions that gets asked in painful moments. Though the answer is not all-encompassing, it will give clarity to the questions, “Why did I have to go through that hard time?” and “Why would God make me suffer that way?” Buckle up; it’s a new way to look at pain. “All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us.” (2 Corinthians 1:3–4)
