Every newsroom has its Grinch, but Echo News TV LLC? We have Karen Brittingham-Edmond: not just THE Grinch, but the Grinchiest Grinch to ever Grinch, especially when it comes to racist Republicans, Confederates, and Trump supporters. Gather ‘round for a holiday tale so satirical, even Dr. Seuss would spill his Who-punch.

Karen Brittingham Edmond hated racism! The whole racist season! Now, please don’t ask why. No one quite knows the reason. It could be her head was screwed on just right. It could be, perhaps, that her shoes fit with anti-racist delight. But I think the most likely reason of all may be that her heart was two sizes too inclusive for Fox News reports that bamboozle last Fall!

Whatever the reason, her heart or her shoes, she stood there on Christmas Eve, hating the Dixiecrat Blues and their allies who spewed slurs and conspiracy ooze, against her people who was still singing the blues! While staring down from her office with a satirical frown at the warm lighted windows of racist towns.

For she knew every Racist down in Maga ville beneath was busy now, hanging a Confederate sheaths. “And they’re posting their memes!” she snarled with a sneer. “Tomorrow is Christmas Day! It’s practically here!” Then she growled, with her Grinch fingers nervously scrolling, “I MUST find some way to stop racism from growing!”

For tomorrow, she knew, all the little Racist girls and boys would wake bright and early to shout their White noise! And then! Oh, the noise! Oh, the NOISE, NOISE, NOISE! Racist jokes at the breakfast table. Stereotypes on the way to work. They'll make discriminatory jokes with their morning toast. They’ll exclude coworkers of color at the office roast. They'll deny racism exists, with a “Not me! Not I!” while appropriating Black cultures with White lies. They'll fly their Confederate flags and defend Trump policy schemes, all while calling the cops on Black kids singing Christmas carols or, worse, just for living their dreams.

And the more Karen thought of this Racist-Season-Thing, the more Karen thought, “I must stop this whole thing! Why, for sixty-three years I've put up with it now! I must stop racism in America… But HOW?”

So she dressed up as The Grinch, but not for the reason you'd think. She wasn't out to steal Christmas, just the racist stink. She marched into Maga ville, microphone in hand, to broadcast a lesson that would sweep the whole land:

“Listen up, you slur-slinging, joke-making, profiling, excluding, denying, appropriating, Trump policy-defending, 9 one one dialing folks! Racism’s not a Who pudding snack, it’s a poison you cook and spread on your morning toast! It hurts Black children, their families, and their homes. It rips apart lives—leaving kids alone. Denied health, denied housing, denied unity and love, all because some Grinches can’t rise above!”

And with every satirical swipe, Karen made them see: If you act like a racist Grinch, your heart’s two sizes too small—so get off the pot and pray on your knees!

Don’t be the villain in someone else’s holiday T. V. Show Scene!

Let this be a lesson, dear Racist-Grinches: Stop the hatred, embrace your neighbors, cherish Black Americans with renewed hope and good hearts! Instead of hatred and fear.
