American Politics/Humor

Monmouth County NJ - In the not-so-distant past, a group known as the Beatles released a song titled "Get Back," featuring the cheerful lyrics, "get back from where you once belonged...Get Back Jojo." This upbeat beach tune humorously referenced a man from Tucson, Arizona, who was heading out to buy some California grass for his lawn. However, today's article, while referencing the phrase "get back to where you once belonged," has nothing to do with the Beatles. Instead, it explores a different context altogether. This report addresses serious concerns regarding Elon Musk's alleged connections to neo-Nazism and South African apartheid. It is imperative for Black citizens to critically evaluate the associations of our nation's leaders, especially when such individuals profit from the American public. Racism is not unfamiliar to America; indeed, the nation was built on the exploitation and enslavement of Africans and Indigenous peoples. The history of America is complex and challenging. However, the notion of a neo-Nazi, pro-apartheid South African individual influencing America's political stability in 2025 is deeply troubling. In our fast-paced digital world, few individuals spark as much controversy as Elon Musk. Known for revolutionizing electric vehicles and leading space exploration with SpaceX, Musk is a household name. Recently, a report from Democracy Now—backed by insights from Amy Goodman and Chris McGreal of The Guardian—has raised alarming questions. The allegations implicating Musk in connections to Nazism and Apartheid have ignited intense debates. Should he be removed from the United States? Should his assets be confiscated?

The Democracy Now report presents a compelling argument claiming that Musk has ties to extremist ideologies. The report suggests that Musk's actions and public statements hint at a troubling allegiance. It argues that Musk is more than just a tech entrepreneur; he embodies risks regarding the ideological landscape of America. Activists vehemently oppose any influence from someone with alleged associations linked to Nazism. Statistics indicate that 47% of Americans believe hate groups have gained more influence in recent years. https://www.splcenter.org/resources/reports/year-hate-rage-against-change/

There are significant concerns about how certain influences can negatively impact society, particularly in relation to the education and well-being of children from diverse backgrounds. Black citizens have historically faced challenges such as bipartisan strategies leading to mass incarceration, which have coincided with the influx of both vetted and non-vetted populations from other countries over the past 45 years. Additionally, the intentional mass immigration has resulted in a shift to a new majority minority, affecting the Black American vote. Without the Hispanic vote, Donald Trump would not have been elected twice, and Kamala Harris might have assumed the presidency, aligning with a vision of global harmony. Instead, there are claims of neo-Nazi and Confederate sympathizers influencing the White House, diverting American resources to benefit billionaires with questionable ideologies.

A report by The Guardian's Chris McGreal raises concerns about Elon Musk's alleged connections to apartheid, terrorism, and familial Nazi affiliations. Insights from Amy Goodman and Chris McGreal, shared on Democracy Now, present substantial evidence of Musk's alleged grooming and allegiance to Nazism. What was once dismissed as a mere joke at Trump's inauguration is now reportedly substantiated, and neither Black citizens nor conscientious White citizens can accept such influences on the future of American children and the democratic rights of all citizens. The Constitution, established long before the emergence of figures like Trump or Musk, defines the United States as a democratic republic. It is democratic because the people govern themselves, and it is a republic because the government's power is derived from its people. This means that American government—federal, state, and local—is elected by the citizens.

What makes fascism particularly dangerous?

The main difference between fascism and democracy lies in their fundamental principles and governance. Democracy is characterized by citizen participation in decision-making processes, with power vested in the people. It emphasizes individual rights, freedoms, and equality, allowing for regular elections, a free press, and a system of checks and balances to prevent power concentration. In contrast, fascism is an authoritarian ideology that prioritizes the state over the individual. It features a centralized government led by a dictatorial leader, suppression of political opposition, and often employs propaganda and violence to maintain control. Fascism rejects democratic principles, promoting a totalitarian regime where dissent is not tolerated, and individual freedoms are severely restricted. https://guides.lib.purdue.edu/civicsliteracy/democracy

Overall, while democracy values collective decision-making and individual rights, fascism focuses on authoritarian control and the supremacy of the state. The reality is that racist neofascist tendencies do not unite people for the better. Instead, they have a divisive impact on the country, which is contrary to the desires of most American voters. And this is why American citizens have the right and responsibility to say to Musk and friends what Ray Charles once sang, "Hit the road Jack and don't you come back no more, no more, no more, no more! Hit the road Jack and don't you come back no more!"
