History Makers

As featured in a heartfelt People’s Magazine article by Ashlyn Robinette, published on May 20, 2025, viewers were treated to a truly magical moment on the

Tamron Hall Show.

On Tuesday, May 20th, the show made history by hosting its first-ever in-studio wedding, a joyous occasion that radiated love and celebration. Apostle Evan Henry, 34 years old of Infinite Hope Church located in Bradley Beach NJ, and his radiant bride, Markeitah Henry, 36, exchanged vows in a breathtaking onstage ceremony officiated by none other than Tamron Hall herself. The event was elevated by a soulful performance from Gospel singer and actor MAJOR., and the stunning wedding photos, captured by Jeff Neira of Disney, perfectly encapsulated the beauty of the day.

“The experience was phenomenal,” Evan shared with PEOPLE Magazine. “My wife looked beautiful. The set looked beautiful. The cake was delicious. Everything exceeded our expectations. Tamron took this seriously and officiated with such honor and sincerity. We are truly grateful to every single person who played a role in bringing this to life.” Markeitah echoed his sentiments with heartfelt joy, saying, “I’m still on cloud nine. Having our family and friends witness it all... it was absolutely divine. Knowing we touched so many people in such a short amount of time speaks to the essence of who we are: grateful.”

The journey to this unforgettable day began in early April when Markeitah stumbled upon a life-changing opportunity. While scrolling through Instagram, she came across a video posted by the Tamron Hall Show, announcing the chance to be married live on the show. The cherry on top? The bride would wear a gown designed by the iconic Randy Fenoli of Say Yes to the Dress, tailored to perfection by Kleinfeld Bridal. “I lit up inside,” Markeitah recalls, her excitement was palpable.

From the dazzling gown to the heartfelt ceremony, every detail of Evan and Markeitah’s wedding was a testament to love, gratitude, and the power of dreams coming true. The couple’s story, shared with millions, is a beautiful reminder of the joy that comes from celebrating love in its purest form. Praise be to God in the highest! We, from the relaunched Echo, New Jersey's oldest Black-owned newspaper, joyfully invite our readers to celebrate this wonderful new couple with abundant hope, love, and prosperity.
