This article situates Epstein survivors’ testimony within a scholarly analysis of child abuse, trafficking, institutional trauma, and political denial. Drawing on historical parallels to slavery and research on maltreatment, it argues that discrediting survivors reproduces psychological violence, shields institutions, and exposes a national crisis demanding prevention, transparency, accountability, and survivor-centered justice.
