This scholarly analysis traces four decades of racialized governance, gerrymandering, evangelical politics, and constitutional neglect that weakened Black political power and shaped Trump’s rise. Drawing on legal, historical, and sociological research, it calls for democratic restoration, voting justice, and constitutional accountability.
